Instructions:
ALWAYS READ THE PRODUCT PACKAGING THOROUGHLY BEFORE USE.
- Before use, ensure all equipment is clean and sterile, ideally through immersion in a sterilizing solution.
- Prepare the milk replacer according to the instructions and cool it to lukewarm (38°C or the temperature of blood).
- To prepare the teat, either puncture the top with a thick needle or snip a small section off the top with scissors. Exercise caution: an overly large opening may lead to gagging.
- Fill the bottle with the appropriate amount of prepared milk replacer and secure the top firmly. (For Beaphar Lactol users, please consult the feeding guidelines provided on the container).
- Carefully place the teat in the animal's mouth, release a few drops into the cheek to encourage swallowing. Avoid squeezing the bottle forcefully to prevent liquid from entering the lungs.
- Prevent young animals from chewing on the teat. If the animal starts to chew instead of suck, it indicates they are finished feeding, and the bottle should be removed.
- After each feeding, thoroughly clean the bottle and teat. If using dish-washing liquid, ensure a thorough rinse to remove all residues.
Be ready to repeat this process every 2–3 hours until the animal can feed from the bottle on its own.
